TAG Solutions is seeking an IT Project Technician to drive planning, implementation, and support for client networks, servers, SANs, and cloud services from Albany. You will meet with customers and internal teams to ensure project progress and deliverables.

The role requires strong Windows server, virtualization, and networking skills, along with Microsoft 365 proficiency and solid documentation abilities. A hybrid in Albany, NY-based position with growth potential and professional development

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years installing and administering Microsoft Server platforms.
Minimum three (3) years virtualization experience with VMware vSphere Hypervisor and vCenter Server.
Minimum three (3) years IP networking experience.
Experience configuring Layer 2/3 switches, Routers, Wireless APs & Controllers, and Firewalls.
Experience with Microsoft 365 services is required.
Project management and planning experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.
Technical writing and documentation abilities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Technical certifications are desired but not required; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Meets regularly with customers, peers, and managers to assess project progress.
Creates technical documentation for projects.
Sets daily priorities from plans and schedules, coordinating work with customers and the Manager, Proactive Services.
Documents consulting activities for billing and reference.
Interacts effectively with customers, peers, and management.
Acts as escalation resource for the Managed Services Help Desk team on assigned dates.
Represents TAG Solutions in a professional manner.
Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company and customer data assets.

IT Project Technician

Position Title: IT Project Technician

Essence

IT Project Technicians are primarily responsible for implementing IT projects for customers through four areas of the project lifecycle - planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close. The IT Project Technician assists with design and initiation of new projects as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years installing and administering supported Microsoft Server platforms.
Minimum three (3) years virtualization experience installing and administering VMware vSphere Hypervisor and vCenter Server environments.
Minimum three (3) years IP networking experience.
Experience with the configuration, installation and maintenance of Layer 2/3 network switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points & Controllers, and Firewalls.
Experience with Microsoft 365 services is a must.
Project management and planning experience.
