Molaprise in New York, NY hybrid, seeks an IT Support Technician to provide desktop and on-site client support, deploy equipment, and help secure devices. The role suits junior to mid-level technicians with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
You will travel to client sites for moves and installations, support Windows environments, manage onboarding/offboarding, document IT assets, and collaborate with senior staff on projects.
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide both internal IT support and onsite client support services. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level technician with strong desktop support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to assist with IT equipment deployments, office relocations, and physical device security installations.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day internal IT operations while also traveling to client locations as needed to assist with technology moves, workstation setups, device installations, and securing equipment through lock installation and asset protection measures.
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Support Microsoft Windows environments and common business applications.
Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user devices.
Assist employees with IT-related requests and technical troubleshooting.
Travel to client locations as required to support office moves, workstation relocations, and technology deployments.
Disconnect, transport, reconnect, and test IT equipment during client relocation projects.
Set up and configure computers, monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripherals.
Ensure all equipment is properly labeled, inventoried, and operational after installation.
Install and maintain physical security locks for laptops, desktops, monitors, and other IT equipment.
Assist with asset tracking and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with company and client security standards for IT equipment.
Support internal users with daily technical issues.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including device preparation and account setup.
Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, and support tickets.
Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure and technology projects as needed.
1 to 4 years of experience in desktop support, technical support, or IT field services.
Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems and hardware.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and standard business applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
Experience setting up and supporting IT equipment in office environments.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Experience supporting office relocation or IT migration projects.
Knowledge of asset management and inventory tracking processes.
Experience installing physical security devices or cable locks for IT equipment.
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification is a plus.
Sharp, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot effectively under pressure.
