Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking an IT Student Assistant to support IT project coordinators and managers across the full project lifecycle. You will gain hands-on experience in design, development, testing, maintenance and oversight of project schedules aligned with resource requirements.

You will assist with using the State of Michigan PPM tool to create and maintain project data, and help users troubleshoot tool-related issues while learning project management best practices in a state government

Qualifications

• Enrollment in IT-related degree program at a post-secondary institution.
• Evidence of active enrollment or acceptance required.
• No STEM-OPT participation.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT Project Coordinators/Managers on a broad range of assignments.
• Support design, development, testing, maintenance and oversight of project schedules.
• Help create and maintain project information in the State of Michigan PPM tool and resolve tool-related issues.
