Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking an IT Student Assistant to support IT project coordinators and managers across the project environment. This role involves contributing to design, development, testing, maintenance, and oversight of project schedules, driven by resources to back portfolio management activities.

You will help create and maintain project information in the State of Michigan PPM tool and assist users with tool-related issues, including problem analysis and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT project coordinators/managers in creating and maintaining project schedules and related activities across the project environment.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of project information using the State of Michigan Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool and support tool users with issues.
• Provide design, development, testing, maintenance and oversight support for project schedules as needed, including problem analysis and resolution.

Job description

This position functions as an IT student who will be assigned to work with and assist various Information Technology Project Coordinators and Managers in a wide range of professional assignments that span the entire information technology project environment.

The IT Student will acquire knowledge and skills to allow him/her to provide design, development, testing, maintenance and oversight of project schedules that are logical and resource driven to support project management and portfolio management activities. The IT student position will assist project managers in the creation and maintenance of project information utilizing the State of Michigan Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool. This includes assisting PPM tool users with tool related issues, including problem analysis and resolution.
