About the Role

Our firm is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support a leading Fortune 50 retail organization that operates one of the largest technology-enabled supply chain, e-commerce, and enterprise infrastructure environments in North America. This role will focus on managing technology infrastructure and enterprise IT initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project delivery across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing complex enterprise technology projects from initiation through implementation. This position offers the opportunity to work with large-scale enterprise systems, data-driven initiatives, and business-critical technology programs.

Job Description

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting enterprise technology projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Administration Capture and document requirements for technology infrastructure installation and implementation projects.
• Lead project meetings with business and technical stakeholders using established agendas and governance practices.
• Document project intake activities, milestone schedules, deliverables, scope changes, risks, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with senior project leadership to execute project plans and priorities.
• Coordinate with technology owners and subject matter experts to gather required documentation and project inputs.
• Track project status and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Project Tools & Documentation Manage and maintain project documentation across enterprise project management platforms.
• Create and manage project portals, dashboards, and collaboration sites.
• Maintain and update project schedules, logs, and reporting tools.
• Support data management activities across project tracking systems.
• Publish project reports and status updates for leadership and stakeholder review.
• Capture and monitor issues, risks, action items, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure project documentation remains accurate, current, and audit-ready.
• Project Delivery & Governance Manage multiple concurrent projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and dependency management.
• Identify project variances and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Escalate risks and issues with actionable recommendations.
• Facilitate communication across technical, business, and leadership teams.
• Support both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise IT projects and technology implementation initiatives.
• Experience with JIRA for project coordination and tracking.
• Understanding of Big Data concepts and enterprise technology environments.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Proven success managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience managing large-scale projects or programs with budgets exceeding $1 million.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, including forecasting, resource planning, burn rate tracking, estimates-to-complete (ETC), and budget baselines.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional business and technical teams in enterprise environments.
• Ability to identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive resolution.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and Iterative delivery models.
• Experience using enterprise project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Planview, or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within an enterprise PMO (Project Management Office) environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise application development, infrastructure, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with distributed, hybrid, or remote project teams.
• Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools including Slack, SharePoint, Confluence, and logistics tracking systems.
• Experience with enterprise data strategy initiatives.
• PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or comparable project management certification.
• Experience supporting large-scale retail, supply chain, e-commerce, or omnichannel technology organizations.
