Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking technology firm in Welkom, Free State , is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of new enterprise systems. This role requires a blend of technical acumen and strong project management discipline to ensure successful system deployments. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from requirement gathering and vendor selection to implementation, testing, and user adoption. Key Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Acquire and develop resources, including team members and vendors, and manage resource allocation effectively. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans and communicate project progress to stakeholders. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans to address potential issues. Ensure the quality of project deliverables and successful user adoption of new systems. Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, specifically with systems implementation projects (ERP, CRM, etc.). Proven experience managing software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects. Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a Hybrid model, balancing on-site presence in Welkom, Free State with remote work flexibility.
