Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced IT project leader to direct teams delivering enterprise IT projects across functions. You will create integrated execution plans, allocate resources, and set roles for matrixed teams to meet schedule, budget, security, and business requirements.

The role requires strong communication, cost/schedule management, and experience with secure IT programs. Certifications like PMP/SAFe/ITIL are preferred, with JIRA/Azure DevOps/ServiceNow experience valued.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant project management experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s; or 1+ year with a PhD.
Experience leading IT projects across multiple functional organizations.
Proficiency in cost/schedule management.
Ability to work under general direction and independently determine solution approaches.
Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Current U.S. Government Secret security clearance with a closed investigation completed within the last 6 years, or CE program enrollment.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.
Experience supporting secure or classified IT programs.
Understanding of security and compliance frameworks such as DFARS and RMF.
Experience managing complex, multi-function enterprise IT solutions.
Experience leading data migration, metrics/dashboards, testing, training, or deployment activities.
Experience managing IT solutions supporting manufacturing, supply chain, finance, procurement, or similar business processes.
Current PMP, SAFe, Scrum, ITIL, or other relevant technical/project-management certification strongly preferred.
Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps (AzDO), and/or ServiceNow strongly preferred.
U.S. Citizenship required for positions with government clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct project teams across IT projects spanning multiple functional organizations.
Prepare integrated project execution plans and identify technical and business resources.
Establish roles, responsibilities, and engagement models for matrixed teams.
Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, technical, security, and business requirements.
Guide project teams using IT and project-management principles.
Incorporate current IT best practices, methods, and tools into project strategies.
Coordinate delivery of information systems and services across design, development, security, testing, and deployment.
Prepare and present executive-level status reports, dashboards, and analytics.
Interface with cross-sector and external stakeholders on difficult technical issues.
Develop and implement business-readiness and change-management plans, including communications, training, and adoption strategies.
Support the Corporate IT portfolio and complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
