Job summary

Zones is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead technology deployment projects from planning through closeout across multiple sites. You will ensure delivery within schedule, scope and budget, while communicating clearly with customers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management in tech or operations, strong leadership, risk management, and the ability to drive repeatable workflows guided by PMI principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• PMP, ITIL or equivalent Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience within a technology or operations environment.
• Leadership skills: experience leading multiple small to mid-sized projects and teams.
• Project experience involving multi-store or site deployments.
• Ability to take ambiguous requirements, conduct investigation, and develop strategy.
• Problem solving skills: identify risks and develop actionable mitigation plans.
• Analytical skills: use objective data to drive strategic recommendations.
• Communications skills: explain complex issues clearly, written and verbal, across all levels including remote areas.
• Intellectual curiosity: understand how and why things work.

Responsibilities

• Apply independent judgment with strong analytical decision-making.
• Collaborate within a team of Project Managers and Coordinators; may lead smaller teams.
• Oversee replacement of POS systems at name-brand retail locations.
• Create weekly schedules for multiple sites aligned to goals and delivery timelines.
• Develop workflows to minimize duplication and ensure repeatability.
• Own project financial management with forecasts and revenue tracking.
• Manage risks, issues, and RAID logs; drive quick resolution.
• Create and measure KPIs against baselines for each project effort.
• Interface with customers via email, video, channels, and chats with high satisfaction.
• Manage project scope with customers, solutioning and change requests.
• Resolve tasks within time constraints; provide weekly status reports when requested.
• Support project team including backup coverage for coordinators.
