ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an IT Project Manager to drive IT/IM projects across the Kinston site, coordinating stakeholders from business, manufacturing, engineering, IT, and vendors. The role emphasizes planning, governance, and delivering on scope, cost, and schedule in a complex industrial environment.

The ideal candidate has proven IT PMO experience and can translate business needs into structured IT activities while managing risks, budgets, and milestones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as IT Project Manager, IT Program Coordinator, or senior IT PMO in a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IT/Information Management projects supporting the Kinston site and its business operations.
• Manage projects from initiation through delivery, including scope, planning, milestones, resources, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Act as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, manufacturing/engineering teams, IT teams, vendors, and management.
• Understand business and operational requirements and translate them into structured IT project activities and priorities.
• Maintain project roadmaps, schedules, action plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and delivery plans.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies early and drive mitigation and escalation when required.
• Ensure effective communication and visibility regarding project progress, priorities, blockers, and decisions.
• Prepare and present project status reporting, KPIs, delivery performance, workload/capacity information, and management updates.
• Lead project governance routines including steering meetings, project reviews, working sessions, action follow‑up, and escalation.
• Monitor project performance against quality, cost, delivery, and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate technical and functional contributors across local, regional, and potentially global teams.
• Ensure projects comply with client IT/IM governance, architecture, cybersecurity, change management, and project management processes.
• Support deployment, transition, change management, and operational readiness activities when applicable.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, templates, and governance processes.
