Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead IT/Information Management initiatives at the Kinston, NC site. You will coordinate scope, milestones, resources, budgets, and governance to ensure delivery on time and within quality targets.

The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, manufacturing and IT teams, and vendors, driving requirements to actionable plans and maintaining clear status reporting across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, IT Program Coordinator, or senior IT PMO in a complex organization.
• Strong understanding of IT project delivery and Information Management environments.
• Experience leading projects with cross-functional stakeholders and multiple teams.
• Ability to manage scope, timelines, risks, and budgets with clear governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IT / Information Management projects supporting the Kinston site and its business operations.
• Manage projects from initiation through delivery, including scope, planning, milestones, resources, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Act as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, manufacturing/engineering teams, IT teams, vendors, and management.
• Understand business and operational requirements and translate them into structured IT project activities and priorities.
• Maintain project roadmaps, schedules, action plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and delivery plans.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies early and drive mitigation and escalation when required.
• Ensure effective communication and visibility regarding project progress, priorities, blockers, and decisions.
• Prepare and present project status reporting, KPIs, delivery performance, workload/capacity information, and management updates.
• Lead project governance routines including steering meetings, project reviews, working sessions, action follow-up, and escalation.
• Monitor project performance against quality, cost, delivery, and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate technical and functional contributors across local, regional, and potentially global teams.
• Ensure projects comply with client IT/IM governance, architecture, cybersecurity, change management, and project management processes.
• Support deployment, transition, change management, and operational readiness activities when applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, templates, and governance processes.
