Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking an IT Project Manager II to lead end-to-end project management for small to medium IT initiatives within the ISD Chief Technical Office. You will translate user needs into detailed plans, manage scope, risks, and timelines, and coordinate with architects, sponsors, and leaders to deliver quality solutions.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience and PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage projects
• Excellent communication and analytical skills required
• Extensive computer literacy including Microsoft Project, Teams and PowerPoint preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages small to medium IT projects independently
• Develops project plans with tasks, timelines, milestones and resources
• Monitors progress and ensures critical implementation criteria are met
• Coordinates with Architects, Team Leads, Resource Managers and Sponsors
• Produces dashboards for Senior Leadership and status reports
• Supports risk, issue, and scope management throughout the project lifecycle
