A leading non-profit academic medical center is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee technical IT projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed within time and funding parameters, while fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams. Requirements include a PMP certification and extensive project management experience, particularly in IT.
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing technical IT projects. In this role, under the direction of the ITS Project Management Office, the Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities surrounding department or organizational project(s) and initiative(s) to ensure goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsibilities include managing all phases of IT projects - feasibility, planning, design, build, test, implement, and close. The Project Manager will be responsible for following the ITS project management lifecycle and governance process, using the enterprise PPM tool for project management and team collaboration, building and leading cross-functional project teams, developing, resourcing and managing project work plans. The Project Manager will facilitate information flow between project team members, management, vendors and other project stakeholders. This role will facilitate and operationalize relationships with external organizations, vendors, and other strategic partners. The Project Manager has some managerial level responsibility and decision-making authority for assigned projects. The Project Manager will collaborate with PMO team members and other ITS stakeholders to foster continuous improvement of BMCHS ITS project management practices.
