Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and communicate status to stakeholders. Roles include planning, execution, and closing projects aligned with business objectives.

You will develop plans, drive meetings, manage risks, coordinate vendors, and ensure governance and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or related role.
  • Basic understanding of project management concepts or methodologies.

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects that align with business objectives. This role leads cross-functional teams, ensures adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, and provides clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions
Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and deliverables
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within defined scope
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams
Stakeholder & Communication Management
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates to business and IT stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and ensure preparation and participation
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors
Budget & Resource Management
  • Monitor project budget and track actual vs. forecasted costs
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilization
  • Escalate potential cost overruns or resource constraints
Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Maintain issues logs, assign ownership, and track resolution
  • Escalate critical risks/issues to leadership or steering committee
Governance & Documentation
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, tools, and methodologies
  • Provide status reporting and metrics to support decision-making
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or related role
  • Basic understanding of project management concepts or methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, or Hybrid delivery models
  • Vendor and contract management experience
