IT Project Lead & Analyst – Operations
Role at a Glance

We are seeking a hands‑on and adaptable IT Project Lead & Analyst to support technology initiatives across Elior North America. This role will serve as a bridge between IT, operations, and business teams, helping translate business needs into actionable requirements while coordinating the activities needed to move initiatives forward.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Depending on the initiative, you may gather requirements, document processes, coordinate stakeholders, track action items and timelines, support testing, troubleshoot issues, or step in wherever additional support is needed.

Approximately half of the role will focus on coordinating the transition away from legacy applications as the organization moves toward modern ERP and internal technology platforms. The remaining portion will support operational IT initiatives such as new unit openings, site transitions, system deployments, and other evolving business needs including managing the IT project portfolio for North America.

Success in this role requires patience, flexibility, and comfort working in an environment where processes may still be developing. We’re looking for someone who listens first, asks the right questions, builds strong relationships, and can bring practical structure to ambiguous situations without overcomplicating the process.

What You’ll Be Doing
Legacy System Sunset & Technology Transition
  • Coordinate the retirement of legacy applications as the organization transitions to new enterprise platforms, including ERP and internal systems.
  • Partner with application owners, IT teams, Operational Excellence, and business stakeholders to understand current processes, requirements, dependencies, and readiness for system retirement.
  • Develop and maintain and execute practical transition plans for legacy applications currently scheduled for retirement.
  • Gather information from stakeholders and help document current-state processes, system dependencies, business requirements, and transition needs.
  • Coordinate activities required for system retirement, including data backup, documentation, stakeholder communications, vendor notifications, and technology decommissioning.
  • Follow up with stakeholders on outstanding activities and help work through issues or gaps that could impact transition timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting on the progress of application sunset initiatives.
Operational IT Project Support
  • Support the planning and coordination of IT initiatives tied to new unit openings, closures, operational changes, system implementations, and technology deployments.
  • Work directly with business and IT stakeholders to understand needs, clarify requirements, and translate them into actionable next steps.
  • Coordinate technology readiness for operational sites, including laptops, point‑of‑sale systems, cash registers, network equipment, and related hardware.
  • Facilitate communication across IT, operations, vendors, and support teams while adapting your approach to the needs of each group.
  • Track action items, decisions, dependencies, and outstanding questions and follow through to resolution.
  • Assist with process mapping, requirements gathering, documentation, testing coordination, and other business analyst activities as needed.
  • Identify risks, roadblocks, and process gaps and work collaboratively with stakeholders to determine practical solutions.
  • Step into the details when necessary to help teams move work forward rather than limiting involvement to traditional project management activities.
Project Coordination & Visibility
  • Maintain visibility into active IT initiatives, including timelines, milestones, priorities, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions.
  • Create and maintain project plans, trackers, documentation, meeting notes, status updates, and other tools appropriate for each initiative.
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with clear, practical updates on project progress and areas requiring attention.
  • Help teams establish appropriate project structure without creating unnecessary processes or administrative burden.
  • Support prioritization as business needs and technology priorities evolve.
  • Adapt project management approaches and tools based on the size, complexity, maturity, and needs of each initiative.
What We’re Looking For – Must Haves
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, project coordination, business analysis, IT operations, or a combination of these areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting IT projects, technology deployments, system transitions, or operational initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively in an evolving environment where processes and priorities may not always be clearly defined
  • Hands‑on approach with a willingness to support requirements gathering, documentation, tracking, coordination, and follow‑up as needed
  • Ability to bring practical structure to projects while remaining flexible and adapting to the needs of different teams
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to collaborate across IT, operations, and business teams
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
The Person Who Will Thrive in This Role
  • You’ll likely be successful here if you are someone who can walk into an evolving environment, listen first, and determine what level of structure will actually help. You’re comfortable when there isn’t already a perfect process or playbook, and you don’t need everything to operate according to a traditional project management methodology.
  • You enjoy being close to the work and are willing to handle the details—whether that means gathering requirements, documenting a process, updating a tracker, following up with stakeholders, coordinating testing, or helping resolve an operational issue.
  • Most importantly, you are adaptable. You know when to lead, when to coordinate, when to analyze, and when to simply jump in and help the team get something done.
