Kforce Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Senior Manager IT Project Delivery to lead a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and QA professionals responsible for delivering technology projects and product initiatives across the organization.

The role balances strategic portfolio oversight with hands-on leadership, partnering with business and technology leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related fields.
• PMP Certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading technology projects, programs, portfolios, or PMO functions.
• Minimum 8 years with project portfolio management experience with significant Agile Delivery experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, including performance management, coaching, and team development.
• Extensive experience with guiding teams that manage projects and programs following Agile Methodologies.
• Proven record of excellent project delivery satisfying business expectations and executing the projects on time, with quality and under budget.
• Deep understanding of Resource Capacity planning.
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership for planning, execution, and delivering results.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project), SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Power BI, and Teams.
• Handle multiple competing initiatives/priorities and promptly toggle between them with ease.
• Strong risk management skills, including identifying, assessing, mitigating, and communicating project and portfolio risks.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of summarizing and concisely presenting ideas.
• Customer Service oriented; Ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and IT leaders.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to explore, drive new ideas and lead organizational change and adoption of new processes, methodologies, and technologies.
• Experience in managing budgets over $5 million.
• Previous Insurance business experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Business Analysts, and QA professionals.
• Develop and maintain portfolio management practices aligned with business priorities, technology strategy, product roadmaps, and resource capacity.
• Partner with leadership on annual planning, initiative prioritization, and Agile Program Management practices.
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
• Develop and manage IT resource and capacity plans to balance demand and optimize utilization.
• Forecast, monitor, and report project and technology spending, including actual vs. planned costs.
• Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio health, project status, resources, financial performance, risks, and strategic alignment.
• Identify needs, evaluate solutions, and develop technology roadmaps with business/technology stakeholders.
• Ensure requirements are clearly defined, testable, and delivered within agreed timelines.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and help develop future leaders across PM, Portfolio, and IT Business Management.
