Job summary

The City of Dallas seeks a Manager-Information Technology to oversee planning, development, and operation of city-wide IT systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with city departments to deliver reliable technology solutions.

Responsibilities include directing staff and contractors, aligning projects with the city’s strategic plan, and delivering reports on productivity and performance while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Field.
• Seven (7) years of combined project management experience and four (4) or more of the following: managing cross-functional teams, developing and implementing solutions.
• Experience in governance and advising business partners; providing strategic direction.
• Ability to develop and maintain product, project and service roadmaps and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities of technical staff, supervisors, radio technicians, and contractors; oversees budgets and schedules.
• Directs changes and improvements to operations; supervises staff and ensures action is implemented.
• Oversees configuration, instrumentation, and operation of IT resources and systems.
• Provides project status updates; coordinates with customers and stakeholders on IT solutions.
