Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of supervisory/management experience and 10+ years in finance analysis.
  • CFA preferred; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates business opportunities, develops business cases, implements and leads capital allocation strategies.
  • Coordinates development of strategic business cases, presentation of investment opportunities and supporting analysis to executive management, and development of capital allocation business cases for presentation to our Board of Directors
  • Coordinates workforce planning and career development for team members
  • Develops/handles budgets, plan and forecasts; conducts regular cost analysis
  • Fosters an environment where team members can apply their expertise to develop creative and innovative solutions to our business challenges
  • Demonstrates strategic vision by anticipating internal and external trends or direction based on knowledge of enterprise strategy and external market conditions and opportunities
  • Identifies, assesses, evaluates and prioritizes investment opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Cultivates positive relationships with our senior leaders and internal/external business partners regarding strategic investment decisions
  • Other duties as assigned

The Director of Corporate Development is responsible for leading a team of financial and business development professionals. This role will demonstrate strong leadership skills, establish high standards and mentor a team that delivers industry leading results!

Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Evaluates business opportunities, develops business cases, implements and leads capital allocation strategies
  • Coordinates the development of strategic business cases, presentation of investment opportunities and supporting analysis to executive management, and development of capital allocation business cases for presentation to our Board of Directors
  • Coordinates workforce planning and career development for team members

Education/Years of Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree; a minimum five (5) years’ supervisory/management experience and minimum 10 years’ relevant finance analysis experience; Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Preferred: MBA

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety is the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of the energy industry, capital project execution, commercial or transaction negotiation, financial planning & analysis Exposure to/experience working with capital market debt and equity financing, economic evaluation of projects, option pricing or trading, discounted cash flows, risk adjusted cash flows, Monte Carlo analysis, accretion and other valuation concept #LI-KM2
