Job summary

KLS Martin seeks a Manager of IT Project Management to lead a small team of Project Managers and own the IT project portfolio. The role requires driving standards, coordinating across IT and business stakeholders, and ensuring on-time, quality delivery of initiatives in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include portfolio governance, intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and mentoring staff. This hands-on leadership position reports to IT leadership and grows the function's scope

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive project management experience delivering medium to large IT initiatives.
• 3+ years of experience managing or supervising project managers, including performance management, coaching, and development.
• PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or PMI ACP certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other FDA regulated environment) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the project management team, including hiring, onboarding, objective setting, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Set and enforce the delivery standard expected of Project Managers, including business knowledge to shape scope and decisions.
• Demonstrate AI fluency by applying AI tools to solve problems and accelerate delivery.
• Own the IT project portfolio, including intake, prioritization, sequencing, capacity planning, and assignment of work.
• Maintain portfolio transparency by reporting status, trends, and benefits to IT leadership and sponsors.
