Job summary

Altria Client Services is seeking an IT Project Portfolio Sr. Director to oversee the performance management and strategic alignment of the enterprise's IT project portfolio in Richmond, VA.

You will drive efficient project execution, ensure value delivery, and lead a PPM organization with direct and indirect reports. You will partner with Digital & Technology to align portfolio architecture with Altria's strategy, while guiding staffing, training and performance management to foster

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT-related field.
• 15+ years in IT with 10+ years in leadership in a technology operation or architecture role.
• Experience with current IT technologies and ELT-level engagement.
• Experience in architectural standards on a hybrid cloud-based platform and API usage.
• Familiarity with international technology regulations and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance management: design and implement PM strategies; set KPIs and benchmarks.
• Own IT project portfolio governance: prioritization, resource allocation, risk management.
• Develop portfolio & technical architecture strategy aligned to business goals.
• Maintain portfolio and drive project execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee technology partner usage to drive value across delivery.
• Lead PPM day-to-day operations, including hiring, training and performance mgmt.
• Collaborate with Digital & Technology to ensure architectural standards align with strategy.
