Job summary

Hunter Industries is establishing a new PMO leadership role. The IT PMO Manager owns project governance and the PMO processes, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to standards across IT projects.

The role leads a team, partners with business and IT leadership, and reports on portfolio performance, budget, schedule, and risk to senior leadership and the IT Steering Committee. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years leading IT projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
• PMP or PgMP certification.
• Fluent English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, maintains, and improves the PMO governance framework, and standard tools/templates for IT projects.
• Owns project governance for IT, defining stage-gate reviews, criteria, and reporting standards.
• Partners with business/IT leadership to align portfolio with strategy and priorities.
• Leads and mentors a PMO team; responsible for hiring, training, and performance management.
• Facilitates governance reviews with leadership and stakeholders to evaluate health and conflicts.
• Manages resource commitments and usage across the portfolio and informs staffing decisions.
• Develops training on PM methodology and tools to build capability.
• Prepares executive-level reporting on project and portfolio performance (budget, schedule, risk).
• Evaluates PM tools/technologies to improve visibility and governance.
• Champions adherence to change management standards.
