Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks an experienced IT Project Manager II to lead high-impact cybersecurity initiatives within the HIPAA Security Program.

This hybrid, two-year term position partners with senior IT and business leaders to reduce institutional risk and advance security maturity. The role requires strong IT project management, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex goals into actionable plans, with collaboration across cybersecurity, IT and university

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Relevant experience (4 years) in IT project management or related field.
• Proven ability to lead projects in complex, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement and communicate project goals, risks and status.
• Develop project charters, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
• Manage execution, monitor health metrics, and ensure deliverables meet quality plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks, coordinate resources, and guide project closeout.
