Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager II to lead high-impact cybersecurity initiatives supporting the HIPAA Security Program. This is a full-time, two-year term-limited position requiring in-person collaboration on the campus about one to three times per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• 4 years of relevant IT project management experience.
• HIPAA security or cybersecurity project experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects within the HIPAA Security program to reduce institutional risk and strengthen cybersecurity.
• Develop project charter, budget and WBS and other required components of the project plan.
• Monitor project health using standard metrics for schedule, scope and budget; report status and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity professionals, IT leaders, healthcare stakeholders and university leadership.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and share PM best practices.
