We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, multi-year IT initiatives supporting research and academic operations.
This role requires full ownership of program execution, ensuring delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant solutions while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT programs aligned with research and academic priorities.
- Manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research computing, infrastructure, networking, data center operations, compliance, and cybersecurity.
- Ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards, including NIST 800-171 and related frameworks.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and provide clear updates and decision support.
- Break down high-level program roadmaps into actionable plans and track progress against milestones.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to compliance and governance standards.
- Support initiatives related to cybersecurity process improvements, including device management, network access, and security awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5–7+ years of experience in IT project or program management.
- Strong understanding of NIST 800-171 standards or similar security/compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-phase projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating with technical teams and external partners.
- Ability to manage schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Ability to work in remote or distributed team environments.
- Willingness to meet required health and compliance standards as applicable to the role.
