Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT staff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and open-source computer, network, telecom, hosted, and cloud offerings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a matrixed workforce and drive collaboration across teams.
• Proven ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex technical and operational issues.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to plan long-term.
• Current security clearance and DoD 8140 compliance; Security+ cert required.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT-related activities across infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, virtualization, databases, backup and recovery, security, and compliance.
• Ensure continuity of computer, network, and application services through leadership, planning, and oversight.
• Align IT services with business processes and customer requirements while promoting best practices.
• Forecast costs, manage budgets, and plan resources for IT projects and operations.
• Recommend and implement upgrades for IT assets and business applications.
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate IT policies, standards, and procedures.
• Audit systems, ensure data security, and maintain recovery readiness.
• Lead staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster cross-team collaboration.
• Develop long-range system plans and validate implementation success.
