Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise and manufacturing network at the Goodyear, AZ site. You will own LAN/WAN, wireless, firewall, and IT/OT network segmentation to ensure secure, reliable connectivity across corporate and plant environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, VLAN design, and network security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or enterprise network administration.
Proficiency with enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, HP/Aruba, FortiGate).
Experience with VLAN design, routing protocols, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, and LAN/WAN networking.
Experience with firewall administration, VPN configuration, and network security best practices.
Experience with IT/OT network segmentation in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
Familiarity with structured cabling, patch panels, and network documentation standards.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across the Goodyear facility.
Implement VLAN segmentation, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing for IT and OT networks.
Design and maintain IT/OT network segmentation to ensure security and reliability.
Configure high-availability network architecture with HA firewall pairs and redundant core switching.
Support site-to-site VPN connectivity between U.S. facilities and headquarters.
Administer firewall policies, ACLs, MFA hardening, and security configurations.
Evaluate and maintain point-to-point wireless bridge links for inter-building connectivity.
Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
Coordinate with vendors on structured cabling and rack/cabinet upkeep.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity on VAPT findings and remediation.
Support IT infrastructure projects, plant buildouts, system migrations, and cutovers.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.
Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call support.
