Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team, responsible for designing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure across offices, fabs, and data centers in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security while supporting manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Cisco (Catalyst/Nexus/Wireless), Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux CLI, Python, and Shell scripting for network automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network security solutions.
• Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to streamline network configuration, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
• Perform routine updates, patch management, system upgrades, and hardware refreshes. Continuously monitor network performance and metrics to optimize throughput.
• Implement and enforce network security measures (ACLs, firewall rules, IPS, network segmentation) to safeguard data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Diagnose and resolve Layer 1 through Layer 7 network incidents, working with system admins and engineers.
• Maintain accurate topology diagrams, IP address management systems, runbooks, and equipment inventories.
