Job summary

Air Products is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer of Automation to support critical technology systems on the production floor. You will troubleshoot production-impacting issues, support IT and OT integrations, and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Cybersecurity, IT and vendor teams to ensure reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing technology, comfort diagnosing under pressure, and a proactive approach to safety and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, OT systems, manufacturing technology, or industrial systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, plant, or operations environment.
• Proven hands‑on technical support in environments where system downtime directly impacts production.
• Experience supporting industrial or enterprise software platforms used in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 IT and OT support for applications, services, servers, workstations, connectivity, and enterprise systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across multiple technology layers on production-critical systems.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Cybersecurity, IT and vendors to ensure reliable plant operations.
• Document root causes and maintain clear records for compliance and knowledge transfer.
