Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Regional System Support Specialist I in the United States to install, maintain, and support IS hardware and software across locations. The role helps ensure productivity by proactively monitoring systems and by loading authorized software onto PCs while coordinating with the team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years in desktop support, network administration and hardware support, plus schooling in computer science or a related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant work experience including desktop support, network administration and hardware support.
• Proficient with PC and server management systems.

Responsibilities

• Set initial priority of requests in Service Pro system and assign appropriate resources.
• Manage site assets, inventory, and systems.
• Proactively monitor and maintain systems within area of responsibility to support business productivity.
• Load and maintain authorized software onto PCs.
• Place requisitions for new hardware and software once approved.
• Coordinate tasks with team members and give feedback on tasks.
• Participate in team meetings and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with peers to understand and support new technologies deployed.
