Job summary

The City of Fresno is seeking an experienced Information Services Supervisor to lead technology operations for the Department of Public Utilities, Water and Wastewater divisions. You will oversee enterprise systems, networks, data centers, and security infrastructure, guiding two teams across the city and coordinating with stakeholders to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of relevant experience, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the listed fields.
• Three years of experience in communication or computer systems technology, with one year in lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, WAN/LAN/MAN networks, access control systems and video surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support technical staff, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Manage and oversee daily operations of enterprise software, hardware, and communication systems, including LAN/WAN networks, data centers, and physical security infrastructure.
• Plan and implement system upgrades, maintenance, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Collaborate with City departments and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to executive management.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot to optimize system functionality.
• Oversee ISD standards and align with City IT strategies.
• Oversee two teams at different city sites.
• Assist with budget planning and capital improvements.
