Job summary

Aquent is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to support our client's Technical Operations in a secure, fast-paced environment in Scottsdale, AZ. This on-site role focuses on documenting real-time workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and coordinating with Operations, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.

You will shadow live processes, map dependencies, draft clear documentation, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong technical documentation abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience in at least two areas: Windows workstation support, real-time operations, TCP/IP networking, or web/app troubleshooting.

Job description

Schedule Requirements:

Fully onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona, five days per week.

Overnight shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM.

The weekly schedule will include at least one weekend day.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check for access to a secure facility.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Are you a hands‑on problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing technical processes? We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our client’s Technical Operations function.

In this critical onsite position, you will directly influence the efficiency and stability of real‑time systems while working within a secure, fast‑paced operational environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in capturing, documenting, and enhancing the technical workflows that underpin live operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Shadow and meticulously document live operational workflows, dependencies, and system interactions.
• Map complex technical processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional Operations, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Draft clear, concise process documentation and actionable improvement recommendations.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong technical documentation and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
• Prior hands‑on experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Windows workstation support.
  • Real‑time operations or command‑center environments.
  • TCP/IP networking or systems administration.
  • Web application or infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Ability to work on-site in a secure facility (background check required).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience in a NOC/SOC/Operations Center or equivalent 24/7 support environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, cloud diagnostics, or automation platforms.
• Comfort collaborating effectively with technical infrastructure teams.
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
