Job summary

Purpose Financial is seeking an IT Operations Support professional to assist applications and infrastructure in alignment with SLAs. You will support Field Operations and the Service Desk, handling hardware configurations, software deployments, and POS system support across branch locations.

The role requires AA/AS in IT or equivalent experience, plus 2 years in IT, with strong written and verbal communication and a focus on security, standards, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• AA or AS in IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years total experience within the IT field or undergrad education equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
• Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
• General working knowledge of technical systems, quality standards, security concerns, production environments and systems monitoring.
• Operating system experience in Windows, Linux and Unix environments.
• Experience with Windows/DOS batch files, shell scripting, SQL and/or PERL.
• Experience with application servers, web servers, databases and schedulers.
• Experience in the manipulation and movement of data and files.
• Must be a team player and a self-starter able to design, build, monitor and troubleshoot various production processes, software, systems and environments.
• Must be able to assume a high level of responsibility and have excellent communication skills.
• Person must have strong problem solving and excellent communication skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates from a technical background looking to strengthen and expand.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for applications and infrastructure in line with SLAs.
• Support Field Operations and the Service Desk.
• Hardware configuration and software deployments.
• Point of sale system support.
• Support ongoing IT Technical Operations projects and tasks including hardware installations, workstation software deployments, and deployment tools management.
