Job summary

Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC in Lafayette, LA seeks an IT Manager to own day-to-day technology operations and be the primary liaison with our MSP.

You will improve performance and accountability of the external IT partner, manage software licenses, onboarding/offboarding, hardware, and security standards across offices.

The role demands highly organized, service-oriented candidates with strong troubleshooting, vendor management, and project skills, able to travel between offices.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or similar.
• Experience working with or managing an MSP preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Egnyte, user accounts, endpoint management, and licenses.
• Understanding of networking, cybersecurity, backups, IAM, and continuity.
• Strong troubleshooting, project and vendor management, communication.
• Willingness to travel between offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's primary day-to-day contact for our external IT provider.
• Monitor tickets, escalate issues, and work with the provider to resolve root causes.
• Own the employee technology experience with timely IT support.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, including accounts, software, permissions, and hardware.
• Oversee inventories for software, licenses, hardware, and IT assets.
• Coordinate hardware purchases, setup, deployment, repairs, and disposal.
• Support technology needs across offices, including moves, printers, and phones.
