Job summary

BERKELEY COUNTY GOVERNMENT is seeking an experienced IT supervisor to lead professional staff, mentor teams, and steer projects to meet department goals. The role requires directing IT operations, coordinating with elected officials, directors, and vendors, and maintaining courteous service to the public.

Responsibilities include staffing, performance management, budgeting, system architecture, project planning, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Six (6) years of related experience in business or government programming.
• Six (6) years of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise IT staff, Administration Services staff and the Radio Shop, including evaluation, training, resource allocation and mentoring.
• Manage architecture, design, planning, organization and implementation of county IT projects.
• Develop and lead technical teams, build budgets, and provide hands-on technical support as needed.
• Ensure information from subordinates is collected and configurations, procedures, and best practices are documented.
