Job summary

FORTÉ, Inc. in Eden Prairie (Minneapolis area) seeks an IT Operations Director to lead the IT Operations team, drive project execution, and optimize service delivery across our infrastructure.

You will oversee uptime, patching, backups, and security collaboration with Information Security, while mentoring staff and coordinating vendor relationships to continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience administering Windows and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration and Azure AD Sync.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing

• Lead and develop the IT Operations team, including project execution, employee performance, and resource management.
• Oversee IT infrastructure operations, monitoring, patching, backups, and system availability
• Manage change and incident management processes to ensure service reliability and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Information Security to address vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with security standards.
• Lead technology projects, coordinate vendor relationships, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Microsoft and Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration, Azure AD Sync, networking, infrastructure, and storage technologies.
• Strong leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly solutions and effectively manage multiple priorities
