Job summary

TEGNA is seeking an IT Operations Team Lead to guide the day-to-day monitoring, administration, and support of on‑premises and cloud technology platforms and the end user community that depends on them.

The role requires technical direction, ownership of operational health of endpoints, identity, Microsoft 365, and ITSM, and a focus on automation and process improvements while collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and business units.

Qualifications

• Three+ years leading technical or operational teams.
• Five+ years administering enterprise identity and endpoint platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment.
• Experience with AI, automation, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and prioritize daily tasks for the Operations team.
• Own patching, uptime, and operational health of core platforms (Intune, Autopilot, etc.).
• Architect automation workflows using AI, PowerShell, Python, Graph, and Power Automate.
• Resolve escalated issues and document resolutions in ServiceNow per ITIL.
• Maintain service quality by tracking metrics and suggesting improvements.
• Manage and execute special projects.
• Develop the team through onboarding, training, mentoring, and hiring support.
• Adapt to changes and proactively improve processes.
