TEGNA Inc. is seeking an IT Operations Team Lead in Tysons, VA to guide the day-to-day operations of on‑prem and cloud platforms, ensuring uptime and security.
The role focuses on directing the team, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating automation projects using PowerShell, Python, Graph, and Power Automate. You will oversee identity and device management, Microsoft 365, and ITSM workflows, while mentoring staff and communicating with stakeholders across the organization.

The IT Operations Team Lead leads the IT Operations team responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, administration, and support of TEGNA’s on-premises and cloud technology platforms and the end user community that depends on them. The Team Lead provides technical direction and workload coordination across the team, owning the operational health of core enterprise systems—endpoint, identity, Microsoft 365, and ITSM—while driving automation and continuous process improvement. The position of IT Operations Team Lead works effectively with other IT teams, corporate departments, vendors, business units, consultants, and service providers to ensure smooth operation of TEGNA’s IT platforms and applications and ensures appropriate and timely communication of information and events between the team and the people we support.
Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 USD

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
