Job summary

ID.me is seeking an IT Engineer to join the IT Operations team. You will own integrations and automations across IT and business platforms, ensuring high availability and secure, scalable services.

Role emphasizes autonomy, proactive improvements, and collaboration with security/compliance. Requires 3+ years in IT engineering, strong API skills, and Python/Bash scripting. Mountain View/CA or other US offices; on-site only with some role variances.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT/systems engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong API fluency (REST/JSON, OAuth, webhooks) and ability to read/write code in Python, Bash.
• Demonstrated experience integrating and automating across SaaS platforms and business systems.
• Experience with applying AI and LLM-based automation to reduce operational toil.
• Self-starter with high autonomy and ability to drive tasks to completion.
• Comfort operating amid ambiguity and fast-changing systems.
• Solid fundamentals in systems administration, identity, networking, and endpoint management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with stakeholder management.
• Pragmatic, iterative delivery style — ship and iterate.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations connecting IT and business systems.
• Administer, configure, and optimize core IT platforms and SaaS applications.
• Script and deploy solutions organization-wide (Python, Bash) and automate processes.
• Integrate systems via APIs and webhooks including authentication and retries.
• Handle advanced troubleshooting and support escalations.
• Implement high availability measures and monitor performance.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with engineering, security, and compliance to develop well-governed solutions.
• Share knowledge with the IT Operations team and mentor colleagues.
