Job summary

The American College of Surgeons in Chicago is seeking an experienced Manager of Information Technology for AJCC technology and product management. You will oversee the Cancer Staging System content, CCMS, and API tooling, while coordinating with vendors and staff in a hybrid role based in our Chicago office.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT/software development, strong XML/CCMS/API experience, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable AJCC products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in information technology or software development.
• Experience with XML, CCMS, RESTful APIs, software development and validation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AJCC Cancer Staging System content and taxonomy in CCMS.
• Develop and maintain API guidance, release notes, and API portal operations.
• Manage CCMS content migrations and annual sitemap updates for new protocol years.
• Lead AJCC tech projects, vendor relationships, and support operations.
• Supervise AJCC Software Programmer team and API portal integration.
