Job summary

MTI Distribution in Brooklyn Center, MN seeks an experienced IT Manager to lead infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and IT operations in a hands-on, strategic role. This full-time position partners with leaders to drive technology strategy, improve processes, and enable business growth.

The IT Manager will oversee Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, ERP/CRM, and BI initiatives, ensuring security, reliability, and cost-effective technology solutions across all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience including infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and project leadership.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, servers, networks, and business applications.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and IT governance.
• Experience leading technology projects and managing third-party vendors.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, BI tools, and enterprise software platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, email, cloud platforms, software, hardware, laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Ensure system reliability, uptime, performance, and security across locations.
• Administer Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, licensing, and collaboration tools.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, policies, and best practices.
• Manage endpoint protection, network security, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Support ERP, CRM, BI, and operational software platforms and drive process improvement.
• Lead IT strategy, roadmaps, and annual planning; manage budgets and vendor contracts.
