Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking an IT Manager I to lead the Varicent platform within HR Technology, overseeing administration, integration, and ongoing evolution. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to align technology with business goals while ensuring operational excellence.

You will manage a mid-size team, drive platform modernization, automate processes, and deliver on roadmap commitments, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, MIS, or related field.
• 3+ years managing IT development and support for enterprise applications.
• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting or administering Varicent or similar incentive management systems.
• Previous leadership experience managing technical teams, vendors, or project resources.
• Experience delivering enterprise technology projects and managing application roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of Varicent administration, data integrations, ETL, SQL and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the Varicent platform strategy, roadmap, governance and optimization.
• Lead analysts, developers, and support teams toward on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage enhancements, releases, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Design integrations between Varicent and Workday, payroll, data warehouses.
• Establish data governance, monitoring, and data integrity across systems.
• Develop operational support models, SLAs, and documentation.
• Ensure security, audit, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
