Job summary

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) in Lansing, MI, is seeking a first-level professional manager to lead the Custom Support Unit serving MDOT.

You will manage a team of IT specialists, programmers/analysts, and consultants, directing priorities and ensuring timely delivery of development and support services for critical systems such as Public Transportation Management System and MiRail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS fields with verification.
• Three years of professional IT experience at P11 level or equivalent.
• Alternate education/experience substitution as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Custom Support Unit delivering development and support services to MDOT.
• Manage client relationships, ongoing maintenance activities, and priority setting for work.
• Oversee daily IT resources and ensure work is completed efficiently and on time.
