The State of Michigan is seeking an IT Manager to lead the Center for Shared Solutions – Geospatial, Web, and Data Services Division. This role oversees the application development team for geospatial apps and maintains existing software, including address cleansing and geocoding services, while guiding resource planning and staff development.
The position supports a hybrid work model with two days on-site in Lansing, MI, and three days remote per week, offering strong benefits and opportunities
This position serves as the first level manager of professional informaton technology positions within the Center for Shared Solutions - Geospatial, Web, and Data Services Division. The duties associated with this management position include leading and managing the application development team responsible for geospatial application development as well as maintenance and support of existing software applications. The manager is also responsible for managing the address cleansing and geocoding service team.
Additionally, the manager is responsible for resource assignments and planning along with guidance, assistance, and training opportuntiies for members of team. The Center for Shared Solution - Geospatial, Web, and Data Services Division serves as a resource for all agencies therefore ensuring quality customer service is also a focus of the individual in this position.

The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or acombination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, datacommunications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, ITproject management or mathematics.
Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure,Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information TechnologyInfrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.
