Job summary

SV Microwave in West Palm Beach is seeking an IT Manager to lead our technology function, ensuring infrastructure, business systems and data are reliable, secure, and ready to support growth. This in-office role requires hands-on technical depth plus strategic thinking and excellent communication.

You will manage IT staff, oversee project plans, and ensure cybersecurity, data backup, and compliance for defense and aerospace clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing IT staff and projects.
• Strong cybersecurity and compliance knowledge.
• Experience administering or supporting technologies: Windows servers/workstations, Firewalls, Azure, Office 365, VMware, NAS, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP; .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, SQL).
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manages the technology infrastructure and ensures its availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Hires, develops, and manages IT staff, including assigning work, setting expectations, and facilitating professional growth.
• Develops and maintains project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational priorities.
• Oversees development, implementation and upgrades of software and hardware systems.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for the use of technology within the organization.
• Stays up-to-date with advances in technology and makes recommendations for incorporating new technologies into the organization.
• Ensures the security of sensitive data and systems, including implementing data backup and recovery procedures and cyber security tools.
• Creates documentation, communicates changes and organizes/conducts training for employees as needed.
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with team members.
