Summary
ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking an IT Manager for ASM Global/Boeing Center at Tech Port. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the IT Manager oversees daily activities and maintains the integrity and functionality of information systems across the facility. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Information Technology in a dynamic, non-traditional setting, offering opportunities to build and grow a departmental team, establish SOPs, develop vendor relationships, and manage inventory and maintenance schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and update the company's websites as needed.
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot user PC workstations.
- Support LANs and peripherals, including switches, routers, cameras, and firewalls.
- Maintain Linux and Windows servers.
- Support software applications essential for daily operations.
- Maintain and support POS systems during weekends and events.
- Support Ruckus Wireless Infrastructure.
- Manage staff email systems, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain IP Phone systems.
- Develop procedures to enhance existing systems.
- Support technology for Tech Port Gaming and Esports events.
- Assist LAN Center Manager with Gaming and Esports event planning.
- Support broadcast network systems.
- Assist Port San Antonio with technological needs.
- Prepare annual budgets with finance team assistance.
- Manage Ross System, Video Routing, IPTV, Conference, and External Video Board systems.
- Manage security camera servers, access control, and production video/audio backend.
- Ensure PCI compliance and maintain BMS and HVAC communication systems.
- Manage Venue Audio, Music Players, WAN connections, and third-party production integrations.
- Maintain gaming center imaging servers, staff wireless phones, and network monitoring services.
- Oversee software licenses, venue wireless contracts, hardware warranties, and support contracts.
- Manage finance servers and access controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related engineering field, or two years of related experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience in Systems Administration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS; Visio; and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of domains, workgroups, Group Policies, network shares, and user profiles.
- Experience with networked devices, basic coding, and understanding of network concepts.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Citrix, Ross, Tessera, Dashboard, VMWare, and network peripherals is desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
Certifications
- CCNA and MSSA are a plus but not required.
- Experience with multi-tier POS systems and inventory management software is advantageous.
- Hands-on networking skills, including cable termination and testing.
