Job description

What we are looking for:

indiGO Auto Group is seeking a driven and hands-on full-time IT Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Director of IT and based in Houston, this role is central to the execution, stability, and continuous improvement of indiGO's IT environment.

The IT Manager will be responsible for maturing our current IT program by owning day-to-day IT operations, leading IT projects to completion, strengthening our IT control framework, and identifying innovation opportunities that support and accelerate indiGO's broader digital transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong IT leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and enjoys translating strategy into reliable, secure, and scalable execution.

This is what we offer:
  • Opportunity to work in a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Comprehensive insurance plans: medical, dental, vision, life, health savings account, and flexible spending account.
  • 401(k) plus company match.
  • Unlimited professional training opportunities.
  • Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.
  • Significant opportunity for advancement within a growing company.
  • Access to brand new, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Here is what an ordinary day of work may look like:
  • Partner closely with the executive team in Houston, local dealership general managers, and store colleagues to support business needs through effective IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the broader Pon organization and coordinate with third-party IT partners.
  • Drive IT projects from initiation through completion, proactively identifying, addressing, and clearly communicating risks, issues, and roadblocks.
  • Contribute to and take ownership of elements of the technology roadmap, including proactive technology lifecycle management.
  • Assume responsibility for IT security and privacy operations, coordinating closely with Pon Security colleagues to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Own and continuously improve indiGO's Okta identity platform, ensuring corporate applications are secure, meet MFA standards, and progress toward a role-based access control (RBAC) model.
  • Ensure compliance with indiGO's IT policies, standards, and controls framework.
  • Manage the day-to-day performance of third-party IT service providers, including maintenance activities, patching, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Support and educate indiGO employees on IT best practices and the effective use of daily business applications.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of IT processes and procedures, while actively identifying opportunities to refine and improve existing workflows.
  • Coordinate with digital counterparts at key OEMs to understand and support the digital innovations they are delivering to dealers and customers.
The opportunity is for you if you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, supporting business-critical systems and users.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Okta or comparable identity and access management platforms.
  • Experience implementing, testing, and supporting IT solutions in a production environment.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra, and Exchange.
  • Hands-on experience working in networking closets and supporting on-site infrastructure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
