Job summary

Insight Global in Houston, TX seeks a detail-oriented IT Lab Technician to support hardware testing, imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced lab environment. You will configure systems, execute test plans, investigate failures, and assist with hardware/software validation across Windows platforms.

You will perform PC hardware diagnostics, utilize PowerShell for automation, and contribute to BIOS updates, firmware validation, and test-system deployment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented IT professional capable of hardware testing, imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting across Windows platforms.
• Proficient in configuring systems, executing test plans, and investigating failures in a lab setting.
• Experience with BIOS updates, firmware validation, and cross-platform hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform PC hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on desktops, laptops, and related equipment.
• Execute and automate testing activities using PowerShell scripting for system configuration, log collection, deployment, and test execution.
• Support BIOS updates, firmware validation, and troubleshooting across various hardware platforms.
• Build, image, deploy, and maintain test systems using industry-standard imaging and deployment tools.
• Conduct failure analysis, reproduce reported issues, and document findings for engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain lab documentation, including SOPs, diagrams, whitepapers, and instructional guides.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate execution of test plans and validation processes.
