Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part-time Lab Support Technician to maintain the School of Information Technology GRE labs across Indiana University Northwest Arts & Sciences and Calumet College of Saint Joseph locations.

The role includes inventory management, PC setup and imaging, basic network wiring, and collaboration with procurement processes. An accredited technical certificate is required, with preference for an associate’s degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate(s) from a regionally and/or nationally accredited institution related to the school’s programs and related work experience in installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and inventory of equipment, materials, and tools.
• Preferred: earned associate's or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the school’s programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and upkeep of lab equipment, including maintaining an accurate inventory.
• Assist faculty in PC setup, hard drive imaging, PC configuration, and upgrades.
• Execute network wiring and rack configuration and provide basic troubleshooting for lab computers.
• Coordinate procurement processes with the Administrative Assistant: manage quotes, purchases, orders, back orders, and equipment tagging.
• Coordinate delivery of equipment from Shipping and Receiving to labs or classrooms.
