The role provides job coaching, resume and interview support, and placement assistance across multiple community sites in Boston, with travel as needed. Schedule: 18 hours per week.

The Adult Education and Workforce Development Division of Catholic Charities of Boston offers comprehensive, high-quality education and training programs for adult immigrant learners who face significant barriers in their search for viable career pathways and self-sufficiency. The Information Technology/Cybersecurity training program is a career training program delivered in partnership with the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology. The program trains adult learners to enter careers in the tech industry and sets students up for success by providing intensive job coaching and field placement. Schedule: 18 hours a week RESPOSNIBILITIES Connect Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity training program for participants with meaningful job opportunities, internships, and potential employers. Evaluate a client’s skills, work history, interests, strengths, and growth areas for employment in desired career or industry sector. Provide program participants with individualized coaching on resume writing, interview preparation, searching and applying for jobs, and workplace culture. Teach effective job search strategies. Establish and cultivate relationships with human resource managers, recruiting firms, career centers and employers to find job opportunities for program participants. Advocate for clients and match their specific skill sets with open positions at companies. Assist clients through the onboarding and hiring process. Provide post-placement support to ensure job retention for both the employee and the employer. Maintain accurate case notes, track job placement metrics, and report data using designated databases as required by the agency and/or contracting entity. Work is performed in multiple locations within the community and in general office settings with frequent use of computers and other standard office equipment. Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Attendance and active participation at staff meetings, internal and external training, and professional development opportunities. Local travel as needed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from native country in human resources, business administration, information technology, or related field. Minimum of 1 year experience in job placement and recruiting in the IT industry Understanding of the IT labor market requirements and trends Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Experience working with multicultural and multilingual populations is preferred.

The base pay range reflects what Catholic Charities reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation in this range may be determined based on other factors, including but not limited to work experience, education and specialty training.
