Responsibilities

  • Procure, receive, and reconcile IT equipment and supplies.
  • Manage asset lifecycle, inventory accuracy, and assignment/transfer of assets.
  • Prepare devices for onboarding and imaging processes.
  • Maintain inventory governance, reporting, and audit support.
  • Securely recover and redeploy assets; manage disposition when needed.
  • Travel to communities or regional offices as needed; handle movement of hardware.

Touchstone Communities is excited to introduce a newly created IT Inventory Control Specialist position at our Corporate Support Office in San Antonio. This role is critical to supporting our growing organization by ensuring the effective procurement, tracking, deployment, and recovery of technology assets across our communities and support teams.

This is an onsite position based in San Antonio, TX and requires daily presence at the CSO to support inventory operations, equipment preparation, and team member onboarding.

Position Summary

The IT Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the procurement, inventory management, lifecycle tracking, assignment, recovery, and preparation of IT equipment across Touchstone Communities. This position ensures accurate asset accountability, timely onboarding of team members, and efficient management of hardware assets, including iPhones, iPads, laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other assigned equipment.

The position serves as the primary custodian of IT inventory records and works closely with Human Resources, operational leadership, vendors, and IT team members to support equipment procurement, deployment, recovery, and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Equipment procurement, receiving, and reconciliation
  • Asset lifecycle management and inventory accuracy
  • Team member equipment assignment, transfer, and recovery
  • Computer imaging and onboarding preparation
  • Inventory governance, reporting, and audit support
  • Secure asset recovery, redeployment, and disposition
  • May require occasional travel to communities and regional offices.
  • Frequent handling, staging, shelving, and movement of computers, monitors, mobile devices, and boxed equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation when applicable.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using standard computer and inventory equipment.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a relevant IT field preferred (or equivalent real-world experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, asset management, IT support, or related operational environments.
  • Experience managing technology assets, including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals is required
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical environments dealing with PHI and HIPAA
  • Strong background in audit projects and hardware lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with IT networking, server administration, and security equipment (what it’s for, not how it works)
  • Familiarity with IT management tools (RMM, Ticketing, ITAM, other reporting tools)
