Job summary

Vigor Marine Group is seeking an IT Initiatives Lead to drive internal IT and security initiatives, reporting to the VP of IT. The role blends technical understanding with strong communication and project management skills to deliver secure, timely outcomes.

Based in Seattle or Portland, this position supports hybrid or remote work and requires travel up to 10%. The candidate will help align projects with security controls and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• At least 3 years of IT/Information Security and project management experience.
• ITIL or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of internal IT and Security initiatives from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, schedule, budget, and risk plans.
• Track progress, mitigate risks, and report status to stakeholders.
• Facilitate kickoff, status, and post-implementation review meetings.
• Ensure initiatives comply with security requirements, including NIST 800-171.
• Collaborate with Security to embed controls and best practices.
• Produce clear documentation for plans, requirements, status, and processes.
• Provide regular reporting on portfolio metrics.
